Vintage Thingie Thursday

I'ts Vintage Thingie Thursday, Suzanne @http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/ has all kinds of great posts today......
I really enjoy collecting all kinds of vinage paper goods (I know there's a correct name for this but don't know what that is).  My first post is of a hankie box from days gone by with a bird on it.  Isn't a cute box??  I don't remember where I got this one.

My husbands grandfather was a farmer and had this little memo pad in 1927.  It has a page listing "Business Laws in Daily Use".  They are so neat,  the few I like the best are:  "A note made on Sunday is void" and "Signatures made with a lead pencil are good in law".

My last post is of a Garden Magazine from 1916,  I think I purcashed this from e-bay.
Back cover

The price listing on the Victrolas were $10.00 to $400.00, I really wonder who could afford one that cost $400.00 in 1916.

Hope you have a great day, collecting all kinds of goodies at all those garage and estate sales.

FUN to see vintage items... they don't make things like they used to!

A lot of people love paper vintage treasures. I love your hankie box. The old magazines are wonderful. I love to see the fashions of the day. I agree $400. is a lot of money back in the day.

I love your lilac trees Ann. Ours is not blooming yet. It is getting close though. Today I saw my first iris. So pretty in a deep purple.

Enjoy your day.
Hugs, Jeanne

I don't know if anyone mentioned it but your blog address is spelled incorrectly over by Suzanne's. Love your vintage goodies. That handkerchief box is so nice especially since it has survived so long.

Is the word for old paper stuff 'ephemera'? I had a friend that used that term once, and she knows a lot of stuff. It is just lovely ephemera that you have there. I love the hanky box!
