Blue Keeper

Have you ever bought a set of sheets or maybe a collectible and couldn't remember how much you paid for it or where you purchased it?  I have in the past but have created a place to go and retrieve that information.

My trusty blue book:

This is a three-ring binder with plastic covered sleeves.  In this I keep all the paperwork I CAN'T loose.

I cut out a copy of the packaging, list the price and the retailer on the page.

When I get a new credit card I copy the front and back, list all the passwords and questions that go with that account and put a copy in my book.  I have went back to this time and time again.

It's a handy place to keep info on your WI-FI and all the codes that accompany that too. It has become an invaluable resource for us.

My granddaughters have games on our computer too and they have also added their sign-on #s, they have different ones for each game.

I know there are probably programs out there that do the same thing but I still like having a book to have to keep. It doesn't hurt that its a beautiful BLUE either.

Pink planning

Determination is the key in reaching any goal.  We are going on a cruise this summer for my daughters 40th birthday.  They have been on several and this will be our first.

Here is my motivation.

.
I like both styles, which one do you like better?

This is how I'm going to get there, I've been using a set of these kettle bells for a month or so-the other two are not pink though.

We are also swimming 2-3 times a week and watching our portion sizes. Really it's a lifestyle change, avoiding fast food restaurants and late night eating.

Dreaming of a white sandy beach this morning with suntan lotion and a big floppy pink hat!!!

Festive, fun, frolic

We really had a FESTIVE time with my Sister this weekend for her birthday. My cousin went with my granddaughter and I on a long drive to celebrate another year.

"
FLAVORING  for her coffee.

We played a game "CAN YOU NAME FIVE" ? What a challenging game--example - can you name five Tom Hanks movies? Sure you can name 2 right away but another 3 in only 1 minute.  Can you name 5 vegetables that start with A?

Our game was of course FOLLOWED by birthday cake with FLICKERING candles.

 Such a FUN time!!

EPIC

This has been an EPIC week watching the Winter Olympics in Sochi.  There have been EPIC performances by such outstanding athletes.

EPIC is  defined as accomplishment of difficult or impressive achievements, impressively great and extending beyond the usual or ordinary.

I have been recording each and every evening and then watching them back in succession. I have to be careful and not see any of the spoilers. We just watched the Men's Luge and I cannot comprehend  how you can travel down an ice roller coaster on a short sled at 85mph and finish under 2 minutes.

Did you watch the EPIC opening ceremony.  I enjoyed the history of the USSR, seeing the beautiful costumes and the flying apparatus.

I love to watch the Ice Skating but I get so nervous for them, I don't know how their families can even watch.

I'm looking forward to see how Shaun White does, he sure looks different than he did 4 years ago!!!

Reminisce

One of my favorite magazines is "Reminisce".  This issue is from Feb/Mar 2013, and it is  full of stories and pictures and ads from the past. This issue is the Valentine issue and has many memories of first dates and favorite songs of when we were first dating.

I love the cover of this one. I enjoy looking at all the ads from yesteryear too.

Where did you go on your first date with your Valentine?

We went to Winstead's and had a cheesburger and chocolate shake.

Do you have a favorite song that you two share?

Ours is "Bridge Over  Troubled Water"--we remember where we heard it for the very first time.

Don't you love the back cover!!!

D is for double duty

Last week my Son sent a picture to me of my grandson wearing an outfit he found in their storage.  We bought this Lederhosen  for our Son on a trip to Europe when he was 11 in 1981.

Our grandson is around the same age now, looks like they wear the same size.

Son - Looking DAPPER

Here's the photo I received last week.

DOUBLE DUTY
Grandson will be 11 in May.  He just needs a place to wear it.

Our Son wore this on the plane ride home from Germany and everyone had a comment on his outfit.
DOGS could not be left out of the picture!
