SUNSHINE - BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE- it's going to shine today and i'm sorely in need for some Vitamin D. It's still only in the low 30's so I donned my jacket and went out to take a snapshot of my favorite tree for the winter. We planted a "Dogwood Bush" about 5 years ago and it gives a show of different color each season. In the winter it's branches all turn a beautiful red. It will bloom in the spring and flower a little white flower until fall. The fall leaves are pretty too. My husband wants to move this bush to put in a privacy fence and I cringe everytime I think of it.
We are suppose to get more snow coming in for a few days staring tommorow through the weekend so I think I will go stand outside the in sun.
Have a great "Outdoor Wednesday"

I love the red of the branches, it gives some interesting color in the bleak winter. If you dig a big enough root base I'm sure you can transplant it with no harm done.
At least it stays a pretty color :) Happy Outdoor Wednesday
Hi Ann
I like your dogwood bush ,,,it must be so pretty in summer!
This has been a winter of snow, hasn't it? I think we will all appreciate Spring even more this year when it finally arrives! :-)
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

ps Thank you for stopping by and commenting on my blog!
Oh I love dogwoods! What a pretty post!
We have dogwood trees around here too. They are different than yours. Ours are taller with very white blooms. Never have the pretty red like this one.
Ann,
Thanks so much for coming by and leaving a comment.
Love the sunshine. We have it, with intermittent showers. =)

I love Dogwoods, they are so beautiful all year round, with or without the lovely flowers. My favorite is the pink one. Our temps today were about the same as yours. I can't believe all of the cold weather and snow you Southerners are getting.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and leaving a comment. The ice is very thick, we have already had three months of below 0 temps. But with temps like we had today, they may not be out there much longer. Cindy S.
Hello dear Ann, I am with you on the sunshine. It brings me to life and makes me smile. We too have had so much snow and dreary weather. Today brought the sun but the temp remains cold. My sister-in-law used to live in Lenexa. Now she lives in Gladstone, MO. Right next to the Kansas line. We love visiting there.
I too love dogwood tress and bushes. They are very beautiful in all seasons. Our highway has pink and white dogwoods between burning bushes and in the spring there is untold beauty as we drive to town. This year I am making a vow to get a photo. I hope your sweet dogwood does not get moved. Who needs a privacy fence anyway. BIG smile.
Hugs, Jeanne
