MUSIC

Our church is fortunate to have  an excellent group of musicians -  piano, guitars drums and singers. Our dance troop also participated this year. For Easter services this year we did "Ain't No Grave Is Gonna Hold Me Down".

We practiced for three months and it was loved in all three services. This is a video a friend took who was near the front of the church.

Here are some pictures of us on stage.

Me in the tan dress with the belt.

My favorite gospel singer Miss A.

We all kept with the 1930's theme, it was such an enjoyable time.

Music touches the soul and many were stirred this Easter.

I really loved this Ann.
That was a difficult piece of music with the counter rythmns and disonant chords.
Fun to watch the director too. I like one that you can actually understand what they want from the choir and instruments.
Thanks for sharing the link.

Life would be unbearable if there was no music even in some concentrationcamps there was a music group. The slaves in the fields were singing. They introduced jazz. Thanks for this post!
Have a great weekend, Ann.

Some very powerful voices, wonderful dancers, joyful director just brimming over with enthusiasm.. we can see and feel in your post the benefits a group of people experience when they Make Music together, Ann.

P.S. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. Bill, Black Jack and I are well. I'm not sure why I ran out of blogging steam.. maybe too many adventures enjoyed and less energy to record them. I do hope to be back to posting soon. I so appreciate that you took time to ask!
