UN -
My U word for the day is "UN". Un is a prefix freely used in English to form verbs expressing a reversal of some action or state of removal etc.
When my MIL and cousin would come for Christmas Eve each year we always exchanged Christmas gifts. My MIL was in her 80's at the time, she lived to 97--was a beautiful woman.
She wrapped a gift for our cousin and he UNWRAPPED his gift. To his UNBELIEF he opened his gift and found a box of old Christmas cards and empty boxes.
For Me |
She UNINTENTIONALLY AND UNWITTINGLY wrapped a box she had near to the actual gift box with his present. I can't remember what the actual gift was.
You can see by the expression on her face she was UNDONE by what he UNCOVERED.
He UNABASHEDLY laughed for a very long time!!!!!
This is a memory from years ago that we still laugh about.

What a wonderful memory!! Great pictures!
That is a great story! I love the pictures.
Our funny Christmas story is the time my very young daughter, she was maybe 9 years old, got a toaster for Christmas. My MIL found it fun to wrap up random things she found at sales. After the initial shock was past, Bethany often asked about "her" toaster. Yes, we did end up using it for the family.
A truly UNUSUAL gift indeed, and I just love the story, haha! The pictures tell a 1000 more words:) What a wonderful memory, thanks for sharing it here!
97 is a good old age. Wish she waited until she was 100.

it was great that you were able to capture this moment on cam. what a unique and unusual story!
That's funny. My mother in law did something similar one time believe it or not. She wrapped up a bunch of bills she had meant to send and gave them to her son for his birthday.
