Rednesday - Red Door To Nowhere

http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/

Linking up with Sue at It's a Verry Cherry World today.   A few weeks ago at the St. Patricks Day parade, I noticed a red door that certainly stood out! --Stood out to nowhere.

My camera is always on my wrist and thought this was quite unique.

I sincerely hope they do not have young children, or sleepwalkers in this family.  Its a beautiful bright red door--but no where to go but down!!!!!

We lived in New Mexico years ago and I developed a love for Aztec and Mexican architecture.  I purchased this book on vacation a few years ago in New Mexico on "The Doors of San Miguel" by Robert de Gast.

Here is the front and a few of the pictures that I really enjoy looking at.

Both of the homes we lived in were made of adobe brick, brown and a rose color.

Have a good Rednesday.

I, too, have a thing for doors. My own front door is red. I blogged about red doors last year.

Oh me oh my! That door is missing it's deck! And that hand is missing it's arm! ;-) Happy Rednesday!!

Oh how fun! My old neighborhood had a house with a unique bright-colored door similar to this but much more normal. This is indeed intriguing. Thank you for a delightful Rednesday visit. :)

Hi Ann,

Ann from New Zealand here.

This is the second red door on this weeks meme.
Red doors look attractive and you can see from far far away.

When I buy my house, I hope to persuade my husband to paint it red.

Hi, Ann! Oh what funny door to nowhere! I love odd things like that. Glad you had your camera.

I've been through Kansas but now that we're hooked on Smallville, it will always make me think of young Clark Kent. :)

Hi, ann! I didn't see an email option linked to you so I'm replying back to you here. we're watching smallville on DVD. Never have seen it on TV. Our video store guy says he heard that according to contract, clark will not be allowed to fly but I thought he flew to bring down those missles in season 5? Yes? Maybe he jumped. Ha-ha! So... I don't know... but fly or no fly, we love Clark! :)

Ann, I enjoyed your variety of doors show today. Very interesting. We have to keep our cameras handy at all times for our blogs.

What a fun and interesting post about doors. I have seen those second story doors that lead to nowhere and often wonder about them.

Hmmm, wonder if there was a porch at one point in time. I love seeing old doors, maybe there is a blog link out there?
