Vintage Thingie Thursday-Antique Store Finds

Isn't Vintage the best!! Suzanne @ http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/ has lots to look at today.

I was out of town for a wedding this weekend and visited an antique store I hadn't been at before.  It was a glorious place--lots and lots of goodies.  Here's a few I picked up.

I have an antique silver christmas tree from the 50's.  And these vintage christmas ornaments will be wonderful on my tree.

I found this little figurine, it looks like a little pixie, my Granddaughter Olivia thinks it looks like a character from "where the wild things are"
because of the neckline - how cute.

I picked up some things I might use for some mixed media art projects:

The deck of cards with the fox has several adorable pictures of different animals.

The little license says "kansas"

I just thought this was cute:

Hope you have a glorious spring day.

Fun finds! That little license plate brought back memories. In Canada they were made by war vets and used for fundraising (I think). They would go on your keychain and if you lost your keys, the license plate would be identify them for mailing back to you.

Your little trip turned out to be very nice for your shopping. You found some great items. You are fortunate to h ave keep your aluminum Christmas tree as the older ones are very expensive. We had one, but no more.

What great finds! I am a big collector of vintage ornaments, too. I can definitely see why your granddaughter sees that pixie as a character in Where the Wild Things Are!

I remember those little license plates, and I was just asking my Mom the other day if she still had all of hers. Unfortunately she can't remember where they are! I love that little figurine. He looks other-worldly!
Happy VTT!
