Record player

As the holidays approach I really love getting out the vintage RECORD player I bought a few years ago.  I have several 45's and a couple of Christmas albums I have kept for decades.

I found this one on ebay. I remember the first record player I received in 1957. My Mom and Dad purchased it for me and my sisters for Christmas. Along with it some records, I would love to still have it but not so fortunate.

There is no sound better than a record played with a needle. I know it's hard for the savvy tech guys but it is perfect to me!!!

I purchased this album around 1963.

Oh I love listening to this album.

I purchased these for my children in the 1970's.

Charlie Brown comes with a book and my grandchildren love reading along with it.

I can relate to this very well. I have several very old records all sizes. I did have an old record player for years, but gave it to the church for a sale. I now have a little one, but seldom use it. My great grandson did not even know what a record player was. He is ten. Children these days just do not not know how to appreciate things we shared.

My brother and I shared a Dansette record player for the Christmas of 1960, we started our collection of single with Brenda Lee's Rocking around the Christmas Tree, Connie Francis's Lipstick on your collar (mother's choice)and Jim Reeves singing He'll Have to go ! I can remember my mum doing the housework to all of these songs !
Golden days.
Thank you for evoking some lovely memories.
Best Wishes,

There is definitely something about the sound and feeling you get when playing records on a record player that you can't get any other way. Blessings!
