Ikea

Today was my first trip to the new IKEA here in Kansas City. I'ts been open for one month but I have waited to avoid all the lines until today. My grandchildren were out of school today so we made a fun girls trip. Had lunch in the restaurant there too.

The store is about 1 mile from my home--so close. Christmas season will sure be busy I'm sure.!!!!

The restaurant is nice and big, reasonable prices, I had salmon with croquettes and lemon sauce.
The girls had Swedish Meatballs and Chicken Fingers.

I saw a rug for my sewing room in their catalog but wanted to see it in person. I decided that I really wanted to buy it.

My Button Rug

I'll be leaving my shoes at the door!!

Hi Ann,

What a precious rug! It really sets the style for your sewing room, and it has a blue button! Thanks for making Blue Monday special.

I'm looking forward to reading your comment on my blue shopping post. Please come back.

Have a Beautiful Blue Monday!

What a perfect rug for a sewing room. I love it. I've never been to an IKEA store, but if I ever get a chance I will have the salmon croquettes, too.

We have one of those stores in Dallas, but not here. I do not go to Dallas if I can keep from it. Understand they have some neat things. Your rug is prefect for the sewing area.

Great post. That is a big Blue. I've been there once. It is over an hour away! We ate lunch too! Looks like you had a great time!
I love the rug!
Have a great week.

Hello Ann, I have always wanted to go to one of those stores but I do not live near one. Your girls day out sounds awesome. Imagine a restaurant inside. My sister-in-law lives near Kansas City on the Missouri side in Gladstone.

I love the button rug so much. Perfect for a sewing room and so darn cute.

Happy Blue Mon.

Ikea is popular in Australia too.

Funny. That IKEA looks exactly like the one we have here, except ours is quite a distance away. We went a couple of times when Bill had his truck, but no longer go, now that our vehicles are bikes :) Lovely colourful rug, perfect for snuggling bare feet :) I'm imagining the fun you and your granddaughters had. They will have fond memories of these times.

Love your rug. I may just have to take a trip to the Ikea in Brooklyn for lunch and some rug looking.
