VINTAGE WEEKLY

With Christmas only 56 days away I thought I would share a vintage Christmas picture of me and my sisters in 1957.

I'm the one holding the bride doll, I named her Edie Bell and I still have her in my china hutch in pristine condition.

Don't you love we are all dressed in skirts and sweaters with socks and dress shoes on Christmas morning. Mom had flocked the windows with snow and we always had a real douglas fir tree.

Oh I can relate to this 1957 scene. Good times with family as a child and the magic of Christmas.
I am giving away one copy of the Christmas book I wrote, on my blog this week and there is a story in it of my family camping in the Everglades one Christmas.

Looks like my childhood home:) We always had a real tree, a TV that looked like that and our front door is identical to yours! Those were the days my friend! Show your doll sometime:) BIG HUGS!

So sweet! You are a little olde than me. I would have been the age of one of your you Ver sisters, but I got a bride doll for Christmas the year I was going on five. I loved it, but it is long gone.

I get tickled with photos like this Ann. Thanks for sharing. I cannot believe you still have your doll. I wish you would post a pic of her. Things were so different back then...
