There are two main definitions:
1. An area of miry or boggy ground who's surface yields under tred.
2. A difficult or precarious situation, a predicament .
An awkward, complex or embarrassing situation.
I usually do not comment on political situations but so many of us Americans feel they are walking on marshy ground with the Health-Care Program.
I have seen interviews where families premiums will be so high they cannot continue to keep their coverage and they are going to be subject to a HUGE penalty from the IRS no less.
Some of my family are being penalized fees because their spouse decides to go onto their policies. It just doesn't make sense.
We are on medicare and that whole program is going to change so we don't know what will happen in the future. In the last few months, I have been denied tests that needed to run but Medicare said I was not a candidate for the test even though my doctor said it was necessary!!
It is SO CONFUSING!!!
I feel I'm in a QUAGMIRE!!!

Yes that is quite a quagmire mess! I'm sorry to hear about the tests, just doesn't make sense, except that is why friends at church moved here from Canada... Love you sis.
Good choice. When I had a horse, in the winter the outdoor pen became such a quagmire that I had to wear gumboots. They the sticky mud would suck them right off my feet. I swear my horse would laugh at me from the far corner. - Margy
Both the wars in Vietnam and Iraq were described as quagmires, seemingly never ending battles.
Great use of the letter Q. For such a hard letter, you not only used it correctly but found an image to go along with it. Nice job.
I don't generally comment on politics either, but I am 64 at my next birthday and the thought of what to do with Medicare is a quagmire for me, too.
Great choice for the difficult letter Q!

Great Q word and photograph. I like how you expanded on the different meanings.
If the Obamacare or something was happening in my side of the pond, it's very possible that I'll be in a quagmire too. It's been trending for weeks. I just skip it every time.
