Last evening we attended the musical Aida at the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts in Kansas City, Mo. This has been a 5 year project and the building is phenomenol. The Kauffman Center was built to enrich the lives of communities throughout our region.
The building is DESIGNED with 40,000 feet of glass, 25,000 cubic yards of concrete and 27 steel cables. You can learn so much more from Wickipedia about the architect and other information which is so interesting.

Such a spacious and modern structure...some elements resemble the Sydney Opera house.....
I've heard the fun part is designing a project. Figuring out how to actually build it is an entirely different thing. Love the pictures.
The Kauffman Center looks amazing! Like you, I love to take whatever pictures I can get when we go to a performance. You did well to give us a great feel for the magnificent architecture. I'm glad you enjoyed Aida (It's a wonderful story) and Debussy's Claire de Lune too :)
