Vintage Thingie Thursday - Garden Gnomes

http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/

Last week on vacation I stopped at a junk store and found these adorable garden gnomes.  They are a hard plastic, there are no markings on them.  From looking on ebay, it looks like they were made in the 1950's.

Wickipedia tells me that gnomes started in Germany and they are men with beards, red hats and usually smoke a pipe.  The first ones were made of plaster and some still are.

I haven't decided where to put them in my gardens yet.

It was 108 degrees today so I didn't feel like trying them in different spots.

Have a super Vintage day.

I think your little fellows are so cute. I am sure with your creative mind you will find a good place for them. I can appreciate the heat. So for our highest has been 106 actually temp. Heat index unreal.

Ann...I think your gnomes would be perfectly happy right where they sit....it is soooo hot, I'd even feel bad putting them outside!! Happy VTT! I love your gnomes!

Those little gnomes look happy exactly where you put them. Sides that it is too hot outside.

oh my goodness, 108 degrees! Your new gnomes are probably happy to be inside the house instead of out in the garden today.

The're cute. In the front so they don't clash with your oz theme.
