Vintage Thingie Thursday

http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/
Joining Suzanne today for Vintage Thingie Thursday.

It's a new year and I don't know about you but I feel like purging some stuff and bringing out some things I've had but don't use all the time.

I have several oil lamps belonging to my husbands Mom and I thought I would decorate with them in my dining room. I'm still trying to figure out how to place them but this is a start.

I used some vintage picture frames with pics of my Mom and my hubbys Mom and added some potpourri in a crockery bowl.

Any other ideas from you creative blogging gals?????

Have a wonderful vintage day--take a look in those attics and storage area's--there could be a vintage thingie in there.

As creative as you are, you will find the prefect place and use for them. I like them just as you have them displayed.

I love oil lamps, and how wonderful that you have those that belonged to your MIL. I can remember using them in the country when our electricity would go out, sometimes for days when there would be a bad storm. This brings back memories for me, Ann!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Love those lamps Ann. My dad was an antique dealer and he electrified one for me. I have shown it before but will do it again sometime. What a wonderful thing you and your sis to send LV that little truck. She is as proud as punch. You are two fine ladies.

I think I would put the lamps next to each other.

I love the clean look. Sometimes we can use too much and nothing really gets showcased. I would put both lamps to one side then balance them with a couple of your vintage books with one of the picture frames sitting on the books then the others on the buffet. If that's too much input you know me sis, just throw out the idea. lol

I have several oil lamps and group them together-when they're not in use(when the power goes out!).

Hi Ann, I think you have a great start and I love the oil lamps. A grouping has more interest when you place some treasures together that make you happy. Good job.
You and your sister are so sweet to send LV the darling truck. She is a darling blogger.
Hugs, Jeanne

I think you already did a great job. I especially love the white frame with the bird. Very nice. Although I will agree with the other ladies, have the two lamps next to each other. Thanks for stopping by my place. Always fun to have a visit.
