Outdoor Wed-Memorial Day Fun

Today is the day we share our favorite pics of everything outdoors-join Susan @http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.

On Memorial Day we had a family get-together after going to the cemetery to decorate great-grandmas grave.  My granddaughters think this is a special day and love to walk around and see all the people honoring their loved ones. I really think this is a lost activity in our society today. This cemetery is always so manicured and there are attendants that ride around in go-carts in case you cannot find your loved ones marker.Later in the day we had a get together with family.
Smores (YUM)Who says I can't eat the whole thing at once. Just skip the graham cracker and chocolate.
Do you think he's going to loose that marshmellow way up
 there?

An old fashioned game of Ring-Around-The Rosie.
We had loads of fun and food with sisters, brothers in law, nieces, great nephews, children, grandchildren nephews, and spouses (one-ha ha).
Hope your day is fantastic.

Ann

Ann, that is a sad and a great way to spend a day. The good part was sharing and having such fun with your family. I enjoyed seeing what the little ones think of to do. Another great post.

Hi Ann, great pictures for the MD festivities. We had a family reunion too. A golf tournament in the a.m. for those who play and then a huge lunch under the pavilion. Between the wedding and the reunion I ate too rich and too much. Trying to work it off now. Blessings

What a wonderful day of celebration. Most of our family is buried too far away to make the trek...but it is good to come up with some way of remembering where we came from.
