Pink Saturday March 13, 2010

I'm joing Beverly today at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday.  Since Pink is my favorite color I really enjoy looking at all the pink posts.

This past week I checked out the blog Chenoa @http://meanderingpearl.blogspot.com/, she has a beautiful, artistic blog-check it out.
My granddaughters were wearing a lot of pink today.

Sophie in the pink shirt and Olivia is her pink boots.
They brought me pillows from their bedroom here at our house and said "Nana post our pink pillows".  They are pretty pink so.......

Around the house this time of year I usually have some pink accents.  First of all a pretty pink candle.
Also I have a potted flower, I'm allergic to almost everything blooming so this is faux. I think it's still pretty.

Next some of my vintage pink hand stitched linens.
My Aunt Doris did this set of pillow cases  for me in the 1970's.  I love the praying hands-they are a pale shade of pink.

This is a table scarf, I don't remember when I got it but I think its really pretty.

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and thank you for indulging me while I show off my granddaughters.

Ann

Hi Anne...your GrandGals are darling and those PinkBoots are a big hit for this Texas Gal. I do love hand embroidered and crocheted pillow cases. My Mom did a pair for me with the colonial lady. She does beautiful embroidery but doesn't crochet, so I did that part. They are treasures to me. Hope you have a wonderful Pink Saturday....Sue

Hi Ann,
Your grandaughters are lovely young ladies.. and I know how proud you are of them. Grands are absolutely the sweetest. I love that beautiful embroidery...and collect as much as I can. I love all the vintage embroidery and have in fact, started about 2 years ago,to embroidery again myself...and I still enjoy the soothing stitching. Happy Pinks and have a most wonderful weekend.

Oh, those are pretty pillows your grand-daughters wanted to share with us :) I like your pink pillar candle and silk flowers, too, Ann. I'm guessing those aren't Jesus' hands folded in prayer on that pillowcase ;) The nail polish gave it away.
Happy Pink Saturday!

Hello Ann,
thanks for visiting Retired in Alaska. I see you are in Kansas. My mom was born there in Dodge City in 1899 and left for Sacramento in 1910. She and her entire family along with their farm animals rode the train. I enjoyed all your pinks and your cute granddaughters

Hi Ann, I enjoyed reading your blog as I clicked myself around. I love basketball too, since I live in Los Angeles, it's USC for me but I mostly like to watch the Laker games. I do have to say though, KU Jayhawks are definitely promising this year. BTW, I loved that pink candle and the vase is just beautiful.

Thanks so much for visiting me, please stop by and visit any time.
