Zepher

Letter Z is always a difficult one to find. However, I remembered that we have a vintage fan on our dresser.

Isn't it true that anything made years ago holds up so much longer? Take cars for instance, it would take a lot to damage an old 1950 chevy!!

These fans are being made today which are replicas but this one we have had since the 1960's.
The Hunter-Zepher company was found in the 1880's and that's all I could find out about it. Today the name Zepher has been dropped and it's the Hunter Co.

It's not for decoration, we use it every night to sleep.

Stay cool!!!

Ann,
That's so cooool!
grins.
Yes a pun on words.
Like the fan and I agree, I think the older made items have a better chance of outlasting the newer.
All by design.
Blessings,

Yes things were built to last back then. Nice to have a soft zephyr blowing.

there is a lot of monetary value to your old fan, especially since the name has changed.
I love the design of it and glad you still use it.

Creative Z. My last name begins with a Z and I spell it all the time. I think I've said "Z as in zebra..." a million times.

I always find myself reading other people's posts and wondering why I didn't choose what they did. We had a Zephyr motorbike and travelled France on it. Next round perhaps.

That's a beautiful fan. I've often thought that that the first of any thing was built to last. I had a Powercomputing Mac-clone that I used for over 10 years. Today, I'm fortunate if my computer doesn't go belly-up after 3 years.

You'd have to be VERY careful not to let anything (like a finger) get in there while the fan is running! Cool post! Pardon the pun...

I really love this fan! I remember my folks having a fan like this. It is true, nothing is made to last today, so sad. Great Z post Ann!
