Value

What do we leave behind when we exit this life? In my opinion we leave with others what we valued the most.  The love of our family!!

My sweet sister Kathy passed away on Thanksgiving and her life was an example of loving others. She VALUED each member of her family. She cherished every sister, bil, niece, nephew, cousin and especially our Mother.

Kathy never acquired fame or fortune but left a HUGE mark on all that knew her. She had a  genuine concern for the other persons health or problems.  She was born with learning challenges, singled out in high school and being "different" but it not stop her love of life. She worked in the service industry and gave it her all.

She never married and lived with our Mother for her 64 years. Our children became her children and every family gathering she was there.

Over the last 18 months she fought heart and diabetes problems, even in the hospital when she was in Hospice she was praying for others, what a selfless act.

I will always VALUE her as a sister, friend and an example of Christ.

God certainly blessed both yourself and Kathy. What a sadness, the loss of a sister. I know the feeling so well. My sister was similar to your sister Kathy. Pat was a beauty and she was so kind and caring. I am so angry cancer stole her from all of us. She worked in a men's pant factory in Kentucky for many years and many, many women there were struck down by horrific cancers. My heart aches for your mom as well. It is wrong for a parent to lose a child. Such a heartbreak especially at the holidays it seems to make one even more sad. I lost my unborn daughter Rachel on March 27th which was my big sissy's birthday. Every year that day is so difficult for me. I am sending you a huge Colorado hug. Give your sweet mom one for me too as I have prayed for your phamily since I heard this sad news. Kathy was beautiful, I know I would have loved her as my friend too. Thank you for sharing this beautiful lady taken too soon. Hugs, Anne
