Kinsmen

Celebrating my KINSMEN this week on ABC WEDNESDAY for the letter K.

A Kinsmen is the dictionary is defined as blood relative, mainly male.  A Kinsman may also be someone who shares the same nationality or ethnic group.

Here are a few pictures I have of some of my Kinsmen.

Husbands  Maternal Great Grandfather Northrup in Civil War

Husbands Maternal Great Uncle William---LOVE the fur coat.

Husbands  Maternal Grandfather Jerome

My Paternal Grandfather and Grandmother
William and Edie

My Paternal Great Grandfather Adam at the head of the table-also fought in the Civil War.

My Dad during WWII

It so great to know where you came from and what your heritage is!!!!!!

I love old family photos -- I am so lucky to have some from both sides of my family, and my husband's too.
Those first three really had the mustache going on, didn't they!!

Oh my, I LOVE these shots! I'm very addicted to genealogy and have been known to lose days and weeks when the bug bites. These are such treasures. Excellent choice for K-week.

These are all great shots but my favorite is the one of your Dad during World War II. Carver, ABC Wed. Team

Hello Ann,
I have really enjoyed reading about your Kinsfolk, your father was a handsome chap ...
I too liked the shot of the guy in the fur coat.
I've left a comment on your 'Lest We Forget', blog, in which you may be interested!
Best wishes,

Love Jerome's 'stache. Genealogy is something I'd do in my (non-)free time.

Ann, that's why I had to take the picture too. The rainbow was so vivid, low and close to us.
I had a difficult time trying to take the picture. Too many cars, poles and stuff no matter where we went..finally just snapped away anyhoo.....
