M is for Motto

MOTTO

Do you have a motto you live by?

A motto is a phrase meant to describe your organizations intention.

Looking up in Wikipedia the different State Motto's.  Something very interesting, many of the states when they were formed based their mottos on faith.

Arizona - "Ditat Dues" latin for God enriches - 1863
Colorado - "Nil sine numine"-latin for Nothing without the Deity - 1861
Florida - In God we trust - 1868
Kentucky - "Deo gratiam habcamus latin for Let us be grateful to God
Ohio - with God all things are possible
South Dakota - Under God the people rule

President Eisenhower signed into law the United States Motto July 30, 1956 "In God we trust".

Our Son was in Cub Scouts.

My hubby Boy Scouts.

So proud of my hubby, he served in the United States Air Force

Their motto is "Aim High"

My daughter was in Camp Fire

NOW on a funny note I belong to the Red Hat Society and our motto is

How fun is that!!!!

Great blog for M. I now really have to decide on my own main motto for my life. As a Christian I have always had direction, now it's not too late to have a motto. Need to think about it.

Great idea for M. The eat dessert first definitely applied to me last night. The ladies in my neighborhood get together and eat out at a different place each time and this month we went to a place that only serves dessert. We had dessert for supper so not only had it first it was all we had. Carver, ABC Wed. Team

Oh Ann! I always love your shares! I am always smiling when I visit here. Catching up, it should be my middle name!
I am praying Nick may stay in Kansas. The coach at the Wesleyans is still interested in him. Cowley was a wonderful experience for him and he had a lot of good running there! We will head out in May to pick him up for the summer.
Thanks for always thinking of us and being such a sweetheart!
Hugs Anne
