Vintage Spools

I'm ready to start some new year decorating and I found six  vintage thread spools with thread at the Goodwill last week. They were $1.00 a piece and I have them displayed with a couple of large wooden spools.

There is just something about these old spools that I really love.

I like the basket, too. Love your header with the Wizard of Oz. Hope you are staying warm. xo

I have seen these around but never could figure out a good way to use them. Yours looks nice.

Great finds, Ann. They look great in the basket. Throw in some yarn balls and knitting needles and you'll have a WARM and cozy looking display. I'm inspired to make a trip to Goodwill....haven't been since before Christmas. That's probably a good thing for me...LOL!!!

I remember a spool of white string just like that when I was a kid. I think it lasted my entire childhood. :)

I love vintage sewing notions and have them scattered around my home. Sweet spools:). Enjoy your evening. Hugs

I don't sew, but I have bought the big spools for my daughter, great price! Don't you just love Goodwill and other thrift shops?
