Pink Flamingo from garden tools

Last weekend my sisters and I went to the Sparks Kansas  Flea Market that is held twice a year in the spring and fall.  They have 500 booths with vendors there serving food and drinks.  The kettle corn was wonderful and the funnel cakes scented the air.

I spotted a pink flamingo made out of gardening tools.

Looks like his eyes are washers and his ears an old pair of scissors or pliers.  I did not inspect the beak close enough, not sure what it's made of.

I did not purchase this one but it gave me lots of ideas.

I did spot a vintage spice rack that I did purchase and I am using it for my acrylic paints. Have to be honest and say I found the idea on Pinterest.

Just happened to be painted pink and I really LOVE it.  I would like to make several of these for a craft fair in October. I do have a perfect pattern.

Getting my fall decorations out, I'm excited for the crisp cool air.  Have a wonderful Saturday.

The spice rack is a great idea, Ann. My paints are thrown in a box..oops...hate to admit it.

Your poem about your mother's hands is most beautiful! And your remembrances of all she did for you (well, most of what she did...I'm sure we don't remember half of the loving things). I, too, remember my mother with dear affection and the cloths she made for me, etc. Anyway, lovely tribute to your mom.

Thanks for visiting me. Many blessings for a wonderful weekend,

Marianne

Hello Ann, I have fallen behind with posting and reading blogs (visiting Salt Spring Island) but was happy to read your words and see your pictures this morning. That pink flamingo was great fun and I love your paint rack. Your happiness and anticipation for all the pleasures of autumn are catching. I'm feeling it too :)
