ABC Wednesday - Letter A

ARCHITECTUAL SALVAGE

Today we begin again with a new round for ABC Wednesday.  I'm going to share one of my very favorite A words.

Architectual Salvage is a passion of mine and love to collect pieces of interest for our home. Many converstions begin with a peek at one of my items I've collected.

There are many Architectual Salvage stores and shops across the county and If I spy one on a trip, I will certainly stop.

Here's a few of small pieces I have.

Gym basket with glass door knobs, horseshoes and type sets for  vintage printers cabinet.

Coupling for vintage firehose.

Husband is a retired Paramedic/Firefighter.

This is my favorite items.

My BIL salvaged this for me years ago.  It is a vintage printers cabinet. Right now it is filled with vintage linens.

So happy to participate in the new year for ABC Wednesday @http://abcwednesday-mrsnesbitt.blogspot.com

Thank you Roger for taking on this new ADVENTURE.

Ann

That cabinet looks to be a great way to store your linens. It would also do nicely for various paper products and craft items that are always looking for a home at my workspace. :)

I would LOVE to have a cabinet like that! My background is in printing, so it's a natural thing. I do have not printers' blocks of engraved photos from a defunct newspaper.

That cabinet is great! Always nice to see such interesting items being re-purposed rather than simply thrown out as trash.

Wonderful post full of my favorite sorts of things, the interesting and the odd. Your Printers drawers are magnificent! I have been watching for something like this for a few years to store art prints. Mine is out there I just know it!

What a fun and clever subject for "A!" I love the whole concept of architectural salvage, and you've found some delightful treasures. Those glass knobs are a great find, and I love your printer's cabinet! (I have two vintage printer's drawers that are displayed on the wall with miniatures in them, so I love seeing what an entire cabinet looks like ~ and how perfect for storing your vintage linens!)

This is so so exciting to see. Love what you have collected.

I keep an eye out for things like that too. I have a couple of glass doorknobs.

Love your vintage linen drawers.

I love things like this. Only wish I had never thrown anything away - what goes around comes around don't you think?
