Vintage Thingie Thursday

http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/

Today I'm featuring a few of my metal baskets and a little vintage fashion!

Remember the days - girls with the green (ours was) gym suits? OH MY they we're NOT flattering. This would have been in the 1960's.

We had a locker room where we changed into  these outfits,  put our clothes into a metal basket and then used a combination lock.  I ALWAYS had trouble with the combination. Don't know why!!!!

Well I found an old locker basket at a sale and use it for magazines in my living room.

The locker number was engraved on the metal plate.

WE WON'T EVEN talk about the hugh shower room!!!!

Also this is one of my metal baskets.  I have a couple of my vintage books displayed.

Happy vintage shopping.

When I was in school, we did no know what a gem was let along a locker. You took those baskets and are using them very well.

Oh, those ugly one piece gym suits with the bloomers! We had to wear them in Jr. High! Ours were green, also! In High School we had a gym uniform of gold shorts and and a white blouse. The huge shower rooms were embarrassing!

The combination problem ran in the family~ They were really ugly uniforms weren't they? I HATED the shower room, especially the "inspection" by the gym teacher...ouch I've always wondered about her...See you soon. Debbie
