Outdoor Wednesday - "The Road To Damascus"

http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ Linking with Susan today at A Southern Daydreamer.

Our family over the years has taken many many trips to Southern Missouri.  My family is all from there and several still live there.  We also took many trips to the lakes at Branson and Lake of the Ozarks.

When my daughter was 7 or 8 on one of our trips she spotted this sign on the highway.  It says "Damascus" and points to an exit.  She says "Daddy ---look it's the "Road to Damascus".

We have thought of this many times and have been so delighted that at an early age she had been taught that the "Road to Damascus" is a VERY SPECIAL PLACE.

This weekend we were traveling for my sisters birthday party and spotted this sign.  I had been meaning to take a picture for  a long time. This time I caught it in time......

I'm glad I have it in print, instead of just memory.  Someday she can show her grandchildren.

Have a super Outdoor Wednesday everyone.

Hello Ann, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment. I am glad you were able to take the picture of the sign, that is just too cute.
I love your sunflowers and can remember driving through Kansas when they were all in bloom. It was a gorgeous sight that lasted for miles and miles. I will never forget how beautiful it was, Char

Very cute!! Thanks for stopping by...my Mom is from Kansas and we visited there when I was young...it is so different from here...we have so many mountains and hills and Kansas in my memories was so flat...but a very pretty place!

Thanks for bringing back good memories for me today. My late husband and I went to Branson every summer. We loved it there. I would like to go back one day soon. I am sure things have changed since I was there.
