Newest endeavor - woodworking

I stepped out of my confort zone again and started another class.  I am taking woodworking classes at the Woodworkers Guild here,  Our first project was a cutting board, I finished it last night.

There are 10 men and 5 women in our class.  There are probably 10 or 11 power machines we are learning to operate. This took a miter saw, planer,  belt sander, band saw and a router.

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, the next project is a corner shelf about 12" high.

Ladies, you really do a lot of things you don't think you can.

You are right. There are worlds of things any of us could do if we just made an effort and tried. I am very guilty of not doing that. I am proud you are getting involved with other things and learning a new skill.

You are so right about stepping out of one's comfort zone. That is what keeps the mind going! Beautiful job on your cutting board! Can't wait to see your corner shelf!
