Suzanne @http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/ is our hostess for this fun event. I love seeing what everyone has.
Today I have some vintage calendar pictures to share. My Grandma Jewell kept lots of calendars from years gone by. I have several of hers. She would often keep the months of her familys births.
If you enlarge you can see what she wrote on each one. This morning we went to Cracker Barrell and I spotted this calendar on the wall. This was the year of my birth so I needed a picture. Ofcourse being a blogger I had my camera. When I went to the spot to take the picture, the little couple had to scoot back and I think maybe they thought I was a little "nuts". Aren't we all.
Have a super day.Ann

Nope, don't think you are nuts at all. A little obsessed maybe but then again you are my sister so I can say that! I love you Annie. Your little sis. Debbie
How neat to have that bit of history from those old calendar pages. I wondered the same thing about people thinking I was nutty when I took photos of those paintings at the thrift store last weekend.
Very neat calendars! Keeping the birthday months is such a great idea. My husband's grandmother did that, too. I've gotten a lot of family history information from her old calendars.
No you're definitely not nuts - well, not very nuts, anyway. All us bloggers are a little obsessed with getting great shots. And Cracker Barrell is one of my favorite photo places.
Have a great day, and Happy Summertime! from Joy @ Joysweb
HaHa, they do not get the tenacity of a blogger. You had to get the iamge of that calendar! ~olive

Yes, we are nuts when it comes to getting pictures for our blogs. I am proud to be a member of this bunch. My grandmother had her bathroom papered with old calendars. Wish I had kept them.
Great calendars. In looking at the business info for Brown's Flowers: remember when phone numbers were two letters then 5 numbers? I can, barely.
I always love calendars with pictures. You've got some great ones there!
XO,
Sheila :-)
hahahhaha! We were out to breakfast yesterday and I told my husband he couldn't bite into his yet as I had to have a picture for my blog!!! (I had forgotten and already started eating mine - gotta be fast out of the gate teehee!) So I sure can relate. :)
How wonderful to have your grandmother's calender's and how terrific that they have her notes on them. So precious.
Happy VTT!
Sally
Your grandmother's calendar is from the year of my birth.
The camera thing is kind of wacky to those who don't blog, or garden. My family looks at me like 'here she goes again'! lol
Ann, these are wonderful! I wish someone had saved the old ones my grandma used to have, I can still see them hanging on her wall in her kitchen! Great memory!!! Have a great VTT!
I love the 1947 fertilizer calendar with the fish!
teehee.. people know you are a blogger when you walk with camera anywhere you go! even the toilet! teehee.. btw your calendars collection are just fantastic! happy VTT
Your calendars are really neat. I love the picture of the vase filled with daffodils, very pretty.
I love vintage calendars too. It's so funny when people look at us like we are absolutely out of our heads because we are taking pics of odd things for our blogs.
Great calendars! I keep all my old calendars - I've always wondered what I plan on doing with them. I guess if I let enough years go by, they'll be vintage! Thanks for visiting my blog!
