Zillion is defined as an extreme number of things. I think this fits what I have looked at. I am researching both maternal and paternal ancestry lines for myself and my husbands famililies.
All together I have information on 422 ancestors. One of my grandmothers was born in 1651 in Somerset, England and immigrated to Virginia in 1624. She died in 1762 at the age of 111 years old.
My 7th great grandmother lived in Colonial life before the American Revolution.
My 7th great grandmother also lived in the turmoil of the French-Indian War.
You wouldn't believe how many women were named Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine--they all run together there are a zillion Williams, Adams, Johns and I'm trying to figure out which ones belong to me. But I do really enjoy researching!!!

My sister is our family historian and has been able to trace our ancestors back to France in the 1400s. Of course, there's no official documentation on that, BUT considering our grandmother's family arrived in the east in the 1600s, we found out that they were not ON the Mayflower; rather, they were part owners of it. That was even more exciting than them being on the ship. We mostly come from Great Britain and the first time I was there 20 years ago, I felt so at home. Wonderful post.

Some time ago I've tried to find more info.... it was quit difficult, spent a lot of time on it and found very little.... maybe someday I'll find the courage to pick it up again

Awesome that you are finding so much information Ann. Bob bought me a new laptop today so hopefully I can get back to blogging and working on the family tree.
111 is an amazingly long life in the 21st century but in the 18th Century incredible.
I enjoy genealogy research, whether mine or others. Knowing about people in the past makes history richer for me. That's awesome that you can go far back.
I would do more genealogy if I had the time
