As I was going through an old high school scrapbook I discovered an Easter card from around 1964. Our church had a secret pal group, and we sent cards and gifts all year and then had a revealing dinner at the end of the year.
My card has beautiful spring flowers with pinks, yellows and whites.
I miss the days when we wore a "dotted swiss" dress, an Easter bonnett and matching shoes, gloves and purse.
A few years ago I went to a Discipleship Walk and one of the gifts was a nail cross. I love mine, it hangs on my rearview mirror. I believe it's such a wonderful testimony of EASTER.
For our life group I made each person one for them for this year.
I used 3 1/2" nails, wrapped them with medium weight wire and reinforced the back of the wire with super glue. Tied a purple ribbon.
I'm hoping you all have a wonderful EASTER celebration tommorow. We will be having 4 church services that I will be singing in. Easter Egg hunt and big Easter Dinner.
Blessings, Ann

Thank you for sharing..Happy Easter..
It is so great that memories cannot be taken away from us. Some of the ladies in my church still wear hats. Of course, there are a lot of us old folks that are set in our ways.
happy Pink Saturday! Imagine, finding a card made for a secret pal exchange.
I miss the days where we got new clothes for each holiday and actually dressed up. Happy Easter and happy pink Saturday.
Love the cross.
And how wonderful and appropriate to use nails.
Easter Blessings
