Obelisk

Obelisk is a four sided tapering shaft with a pyramidal top. It was originally erected in pairs for an Egyptian temple.

In the modern world the obelisk is sometimes used in gardening in many medias. I have a few and love this iron one in one of my gardens.

A different shaped obelisk in a different garden, you can see some of my annuals are just begging to grow!

This morning I was thinking of what tall thing I could create out of chicken wire for our front yard. I had no idea what I was pondering was an obelisk. Thank you!

These are really lovely obelisks, Ann. I'm so glad you shared them -- it gives me a good idea for something to make for Rick's garden!
