Vulnerable

Today for ABC Wednesday I am featuring the word vunerable for the letter v.  For the last few weeks we have been very busy with my Mom who fell and shattered her elbow, cracked her wrist and has three cracks in her pelvis.

My sweet mama is 88.

The definition of vulnerable is  a person in need of special care, support or protection because of age or disability.

Mom has been in three hospitals in the last week a half trying to find a specialist to insert an artificial elbow.  We have the surgeon and we are waiting in the hospital in Kansas City for all to be "A GO'.

We are hoping all is on the mend for the Christmas Holidays.

Thoughts and prayers go out to your sweet mother. Hope all goes well with her surgery, rehab and healing in all areas. Blessings to you and your sisters, too.

Just saw your comment on my "V" post saying that your mother had a successful surgery for the elbow replacement. I am so happy for her and for all of her loving family! I wonder if the cracked wrist is on the other side of if one hand took all the weight of the fall. Her pelvis must be painful as well. Sending her the very best for a full recovery. As others noted, she looks very sweet. Lovely smile!

What about your mom's pelvis? Will she undergo surgery for this, as well? I am glad to hear things went well. My aunt experienced something similar last winter. She had a partial hip replacement. Hopefully your mom recovers easily and as quickly as possible. At least it is winter, so she won't feel the pressure to be "out and about" as much!

Thanks Very much for your recent visit! :-)
