Fruit stand

In an effort to organize my kitchen as I am cooking at home much more this new year, I made a stand for the counter to hold fruits and vegetables.

These were more popular in times past, there are some available in antique stores at times but I wanted to make one like I had seen on Pinterest.

I found 2 metal dishes, some glass candle holders and a vintage silver serving tray.

I used my hot glue gun to attach all the pieces, I am still looking for a good glue that will adhere glass better.

After tidying up the counter, I added my fruit and vegetables.

I think altogether I spent around 8.00 for the whole project. Not too shabby.

Very cute! I have one made out of old plates. I also have a large metal tray similar which I love and use for vignettes often. Have you ever used e6000 glue? It works great for things like this.

You are just so smart and creative. I have seen those a long time ago. Nothing recently. You did super job on it.

That looks really amazing. Have you ever tried epoxy to adhere the glass and metal together? My dad used it for everything when I was little.
