Vintage Thingie Thursday - Vintage Strainer

I have had this vintage strainer for years and have always wanted to display it somehow. I don't have enough room in my kitchen to really hang much.

I spotted this idea eons ago and cut it out and put in a large scrapbook--before there was anything heard of like blogs or Pinterest.

I took a grocery store bag and shedded some of it for the nest since I didn't have anything else store bought.  I filled the strainer and added some little blue eggs I had in my stock.

I have  this sitting  under my spring tree. I'm in the process of making felt eggs to hang for the inception of springtime.

Are you getting Spring Fever yet? The craft stores look so bright--pinks, yellows, soft blues, pale green, it's absolutely intoxicating!!!!

I am not into crafting, but do enjoy seeing what you and the others create.

Love your red-handled strainer and the blue of the eggs contrast so nicely with the red. Yah ... spring is just around the corner and this Canadian is ready for it. Bring it on!

Very clever! And yes, I am getting spring fever. It's funny just last week the girls and I were really aching for snow. Now the days are getting longer and there is a warmth to the sunshine that didn't seem to be there before. Yea Spring!!

Blessings, Debbie

This is so precious. I love the little blue eggs and the shredded paper is a smart idea.

Very cute! I am so getting Spring Fever! I have started pulling out Spring decor. Last year I made some paper birdhouses and hung them from large branches in my entry. This year I am going to put a few smaller branches on my kitchen table and hang a few. Thinkin that my vintage red strainer would look cute underneath. If I do, I will give you credit on my blog. Now following you.
Hugs,
Jann
