PINK SATURDAY - A SPECIAL MEMORIUM TO THE FALLEN

http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

Rather than show pinks today, Beverly gave us the option to post about 9-11.

PATRIOT DAY - PLEASE ZOOM TO READ:
My husband and six other members of our family have been or are currently Firemen or Paramedics.  The fallen fire and police touch us in a special way.

Our fire department created this special decal from our department to honor the NYFD.
Our firefighters risk their own lives daily to save our lives. I saw this picture in a newspaper a few years ago and cut it out.  It really touches my heart.

I'm taking time today to watch the services on TV and stopping to say a prayer for all of the family members who are grieving for their loved ones.

Oh Ann Sweetie...
What a beautiful tribute today. I remember seeing that snow sculpture in the newspaper and thought then what a beautiful touching tribute. Seeing it again today, I am just as moved.

I thank your family for the wonderful jobs that they do. We are so grateful to the Firemen, Policemen and parmedics in all of our American cities. You all do such a wonderful jobs holding our very hearts and souls in your hands. We thank you each and every one of you for all that you do.

We are so proud of the American soldiers who are laying their lives on the line each and every day in this horrible place called "WAR". This is what 9/11 has brought upon all of us. Many changes that have forever changed our lives. No we shall never forget.

Thank you sweetie for sharing today. You have touched my very soul. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Ann this post was perfect for today. Although we must get on with our daily lives we must stop and remember and never forget this tragedy that shook the very core of our country. Anne

Amen. God bless those grieving for lost loved ones. And yes, our firefighters, paramedics, and police are our Country's great heros. I get so angry sometimes when I think about the salaries paid to pro athletes to play games and compare that to what our military and emergency personnel get for what sacrifices they make for us.

That ice sculpture is amazing!1 There are certain images that you can never forget like when the space shuttle exploded. I still remember what the smoke trail looked like. I will never forget the image of the towers crashing down, first one and then the other. You can't forget it, nor should we ever. Thank you for sharing and by the way being a follower of mine. I am so appreciative. Thank you.

Beautiful post to honor the loss on 9:11. The angle sitting next to the fireman is amazing! Question is...was it really there or did God give us a glimpse of His love for the fireman.
