I have numerous  outdoor Pics for Outdoor Wed, today I will show you some pics from our train ride in Leadville, Colorado

This was such a majestic ride, 2 1/2 hours.

Afterwards we visited a few shops in Leadville and ate a great little resturant.

This was a pretty special day for our whole family.

Tuesday Tag Challenge-Dress Mannequin

Tuesday Tag Challenge hostess Louise @ Kard Krazy has a guest hostess this week. Sarah from Vintage Fragments is introducing a mannequin for us to decorate.

On my tag I used a gel medium and adhered old pieces of a dress pattern.  Adding buttons and a netting for the ribbon.  I also added some stamped flowers and embossed them with purple.

Blue Monday-Kayaks in Colorado

smilingsally.blogspot.com for Blue Monday.  Been on vacation  for a few weeks so I'm jumping in with a picture I took one afternoon.

My daughter in law and I were antique shopping in Salida, Colorado and we spotted these kayaks lined up on the sides of the buildings.  I love this shot, I'm going to have in enlarged and frame it.

Came back to midwest heat after loving all the cool weather!

UPDATE ON BACKYARD VISITOR - MR GROUNDHOG

My hubby sat out a trap for our UNwanted guest Mr. Groundhog that I shared about on Wednesday.  We sat out the trap around 5:00 p.m. and when we came back at 8.00p.m. he was residing in the trap.  We served him brocolli spears (they really like that). 

Today when my hubby went to mow some land outside of the city about 1 hr (country) he released him into a new home. Hope he can find a better place to live-lots of woods preferably.

Tag Tuesday

Tag Tuesday this week over @http/kardkrazy.blogspot.com is FACES.

I used a maiden with a forlorn look upon her face.  I used an image from the internet and embossed green and  purple flowers. Used a green brad with purple ribbon and added a yellow silk flower at the bottom.

I did not realize how hard it would be to get the picture clear enough with the glare from the embossed flowers, hope you can see well enough.

Outdoor Wednesday

We have an UNwelcomed visitor in our yard. I snapped this picture of him a few minuetes ago.

I believe this is the first groundhog we've had in our yard.  They are adorable in childrens stories and movies but in person----I think they are pretty destructive.

I read today that they can burrow holes 5 deep and 46 feet long.  WHOA- Our telephone lines run right where he's standing right now.

We're setting a trap to catch him and relocate him to a more suitable neighboorhood. (The woods)

He is living under our garden shed and we don't know if he is alone or has an entire family under there.
