FATHERS DAY 1970
Ephesions 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
This picture was taken in 1970 when my Grandpa Suppess was in the hospital. My Dad, Hubby and 4-month son Kevin came to visit him.
The fathers in this generation have all ben godly men and have raised their children in the knowledge of God.
I snapped a picture of the 4 generations that day and I'm so glad I have it now.
My Son Kevin is 42 now and is celebrating Fathers Day with my grandson Cody who is 9 today in Colorado.
My Daddy and Grandpa are in Heaven today and we really miss them being here.
We heard a wonderful Fathers Day message in church this morning (MACHO MAN). My daughter, SIL and grandchildren were there with their Dad and Grandpa.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Dad or memories of Dad today.

ABC WEDNESDAY - LETTER V
ABC Wednesday this week is the letter V.
My choice for V this week is VICTORIOUS. VICTORY, VICTOR !!!!!!!.
The definition of victorious is a triumph over an obsticle. One who defeats an adversary.
A WINNER AND A FIGHTER.
My sister Kathy has been going through a battle for the past eight weeks. After being diagnosed with breast cancer she had a masectomy yesterday and she has OVERCOME and is a VICTOR.
Her lymph nodes were negative and she does not have to undergo any chemotherapy or radiation.
I felt there was no other V word that I could use for ABC Wednesday. Thank you for endulging some of my personal life.
Let's celebrate this victory!!

3RD ANNUAL TO HAVE AND TO HOLD WEDDING BLOG PARTY
| Personalize your own free picture collage |
After a little difficulty adding my wedding photos to my laptop, I have added a Smilebox collage to show my Wedding Pictures.
We were married July 30, 1966 while my husband was between basic training and technical school. We had planned a summer wedding but the Air Force did not cooperate. My fiance's commanding officer let him have a weekend off to get married so my Mom and I called all the guests, no time to send out invitations.
I had already purchased my dress in the spring. My fiance came home on Friday night, we were married Saturday and he left Sunday. I didn't see him for 3 weeks right before he found out where he would be stationed.
My sisters Debbie and Kathy were my bridesmaids, my SIL Virginia my Matron of Honor and my 5 yr old sister Lori my flowergirl. My husbands brother was the Best Man, cousin and friend were ushers and my 2nd cousin my ring bearer.
All the pictues were done in black & white--normally done for that time.
We will be celebrating our 46th Wedding Anniversary this July.
I know I'm late to the party, but hopefully you will come by to see my picture.

Blue Monday
Blue Monday is here and it's warming up around here. I have some pics of some of my new metal flowers that I made. One is bright blue with a yellow center.
My husband built the posts for the water faucets for each garden so I painted them green for the stems.

I also painted a few sunflowers for my Kansas gardens.

New Red Flowers
As I was strolling through a garden center last week I spotted this flower I had never seen before. It is an annual but I love it.
The name is Amaranthus and it is ideal for backgrounds, it grows 18 to 24" tall.
My coneflowers are blooming nicely this week also.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER U
Kansas City is known for it's UNDERGROUND CAVES. Today I'd like to share with you what I learned on Wickipdedia.
SubTropolis is a 55,000,000 square foot , 1,100 acre manmade cave in the bluffs above the Missouri River in Kansas City, MO. It is claimed to be the worlds largest underground storage facility.
It is dug into Bethany Falls limestone mine and it is at 160 feet beneath the surface. It containes seven miles of paved roads and several miles of railroad track.
The mine maintains a temp of between 65 and 70 degrees Faharenheit year-round.
SubTropolis houses around 50 businesses and organizations.
To name a few:
Cerner Corp.
Hallmark Cards
US Postal Service
Vanguared Packaging
Also the caves sponsor the Annual "Groundhog Run" which is celebrating it's 31st year in 2013 for Children With Disabilities.
Hope you enjoy my Kansas City U today.

Pink Saturday - Pink Petunias popping up everywhere
One of my favorite annuals are petunias, especially the wave petunias. I have them planted in a couple of places and they are so cheery to me.
My pretty white wooden pitcher holding some more pink petunias.
Using the instagram app I took a picture of some plants I will put in pots tomorrow.
Hope you enjoyed my pinks today. I really love participating in PINK SATURDAY and have been for the last three years.
Check out Beverly's friends and their posts too.
