Nancy Joy was born 5-7-1947, just 70 years old and exactly 6 months older than me.
She had suffered from heart disease for several years, open heart surgery and pace makers, this episode they could not pull her out of it. I went to visit her the day before she entered the Lord's presence, I will always be thankful I made that visit to the hospital.
She was not only my friend but a close friend to my Mom and my sis Katy who passed away 2 years ago. Katy and Nancy were thrift shop buddies, Nancy would pick her up when they were in Kansas City and shopped until they dropped literally. Even though Katy had learning issues, Nancy treated her as an equal, never any different.
She helped many young person in our choir with needs even though she didn't have the funds to take care of many of her own. She had a HEART OF GOLD.
Here's a few snapshots I took of her. Most of these are church programs--this one at the "Easter Old Time Event".

She loved to sing and give praises!!!
With her daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughters.
Our choir sang at her Celebration of Life and this bouquet stood in her regular spot. Nancy you see was a tenor and the group was always known as "The Tenors and Nancy".
Nancy Joy was with me during my sis Katy's mastectomy, her heart surgery, and ultimately her death. She was my over-the-road traveling buddy too and I will truly miss her sweet spirit. See you some day dear friend.
