Norfolk River

On vacation this past week we visited the Norfolk River in Arkansas where we went boating and swimming.

I caught this gorgeous photo off the pontoon.

I plan to enlarge and frame this photo for our home.

Spent the week with my double cousin Rick and his wife Shirley. Here we had a great dinner at Freddy's Fish Shack in Mountain Home Arkansas.

Bird Nests

I think birds like letters as much as we contributors of ABC Wednesday.

While on vacation this past week I caught sight of several bird nests in letters!!

Apropo

This is the time to begin a new journey for ABC WEDNESDAY.  So it is apropo that I wish everyone connected good luck!!

It is the appropriate time and very apt  that everyone give a big round of applause.

S mores and smoke

S mores and smoke filled our yard on this Independence Day.  We had 14 over for dinner, s mores and fireworks. Ages 4 and up were celebrating.

We had an assembly line going with all the yummy ingredients.

The new smoke bombs don't have to be lit, just pull a tab and out comes these deep, long lasting colors. No chance of little fingers getting burned!!!!!

Just a few sprinkles, but it didn't stop any of the fun!!!!!!

Z Trip

Well that round zipped by don't you think??  Letter Z can be a tricky one so if I see anything with z I snap a picture.

A few weeks ago saw this car zipping by and got my image.

Have you zipped by this summer and had a vacation?  We are planning to go to the lake in a few weeks just to float on an inner tube and do some fishing. Just some relaxation time.

Iron gates

If you have visited me often you know I love anything made of metal, iron, tin etc.  Last weekend I purchased this really cool iron fence piece for my rose garden.

I bought this out of town, however I'll be going back and I will be purchasing three more for each side of the garden if they still have any left.

Today my hubby pounded this piece of iron into the corner garden to make a pathway into the garden to keep the cypress grass from hiding all the plants from the sunshine.

Some new blooms this week:

Experiencing lots of rain and sunshine here which makes gardening so fun.
