Cucumber plants

This year I decided to plant cucumbers for the first time.  I have three plants and they are full of flowers.  We have already ate one and today found another.  One of these days  I will have a bunch to harvest at once.

I have lots of flowers!!!!

Can you say sweet & sour cucumbers with red onion.

Beating Heart

ABC WEDNESDAY is here and the letter is B this week.

I have been thinking about how the human BODY is such a miracle and our BEATING heart is one of those miracles.

There is a site that can give you an approximate of how many times your heart has BEATEN in your lifetime.  Of course this does not take into account exercise, stress etc.

Mine is 2,537,177,975 times!!!!!! This organ the size of my fist just knows what to do and knows how many times to BEAT. Of course I believe it was created by God who is the excellent designer.

For "anything goes" Pink Saturday I'm sharing a picture of my Mom and us girls on the fourth of July.

It isn't that often that all of us are together for the holiday.

We were sitting on our front driveway watching the fireworks in the neighborhood

.From left to right, me, Deb, Mom, LB and KK. There are lots of grands and great-grands bombing in the background.

My Mom is 88 and my sister KK who has trouble with diabetes are suffering right now so it is so special we all had time together this year.

A is for Antlers

Here we go again on a new round of ABC WEDNESDAY. So glad that the party is going to continue for a few more rounds.

At an antique store last weekend I found a pair of deer antlers. I've been looking for a pair for awhile to make a jewelry hanger like the one  I saw on Pinterest.

Some of my jewelry is out now so I can see if I want to match something to wear.  Husband added the antlers to a block of wood to mount.

Now if I can just avoid buying more to fill it up!!!

Patriotic

I've dressed up the front of our house with the RED, WHITE and BLUE.  Today I'm making baked beans and have picked up all the paper goods for our party tomorrow.

My hubby and I made this wooden flag years ago and it takes a spot for the 4th of July.

I searched all day for small flags and there was not one to be found. I did find some garden flags so  I attached them to wire for the flower basket.

Found a spot for my "God Bess America".

I found some really cute patriotic glow sticks for the little ones.

How about some red and blue twizzlers?

We are having a break from rain and humidity tomorrow--and that's gonna be GREAT for our celebration.!!!!
