Christmas Trees from Vintage Books

This year I have been so excited to make additions to my Christmas decorations from things I have on hand. I had a few vintage books that the covers were missing and I didn't mind using the pages.

I found the idea on Pinterest and tweaked it a bit.  I used one of my vintage bottles for the base and found a silver star in my stash for the tree topper. This one is sitting on my mantel and is near to the large silver star.

This one is looking into the sunroom fom the kitchen.

These have an elegant look to them but did not cost a fortune.

  1. What I love best about your Christmas posts is the unrestrained enthusiasm that we feel from your first word to the last. I think my aunt in Montreal had an aluminum tree but my dad always went to the tree lot in our village where he usually got the last or close-to-last tree remaining. Often, they were a bit lopsided but my sister and I loved every one. I especially love the picture of you with Santa (previous post) and also the one of the bird :)

  5. Howdy! Quick question that's totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when browsing from my iphone4. I'm trying to
find a template or plugin that might be able to resolve
this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share.
    Thank you!
