Happy New Year 2012

http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

Linking with Sally to start off the new year. Thank you Sally for keeping up the Blue Monday tradition!!!

New Years Eve was spent quietly here, we watched "Because of Winn Dixie" a great family movie.  And at midnight rang in the new year with sparking grape juice.  Ofcourse we used our wine glasses--my granddaughters think this is pretty cool!! My Mother and sister are still staying with us for awhile so they got to participate too.

Can you hear the noise makers?

Happy New Year.

  2. Looks like you had quite a nice evening! We fell asleep after 11 P.M.! we still have a bottle of champagne from three years ago in the fridge! Ha HA! My kids always loved the sparkling juice and I always served it with my Princess House flutes! Best wishes to you and yours for the new year 2012!

  4. Such adorable granddaughters, I'm love my two grands to death too! We had an early dinner with 8 people in the table you just visited, it was for New Year's Eve. The tablecloth is recycled and I used it caz it's kind of silvery. Have a wonderful new year with your family.

  12. We do the same thing: We use the Old Spaghetti wine glasses my husband bought us on one of our earliest dates in 1980 and, with sparkling juice that gives us a high degree of heartburn to ring in the New Year, we *clink* in celebration. Whether we're away from these glasses (say, they're in a box overseas and we're on the US mainland) or we're holding them in our hands, the New Year is always special because we're together.

    Happy New Year!
