Vintage Thingie Thursday - Beauty Shop Vintage

http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/

Today was my regular appt for haircut and I had seen these items in the shop before but never thought of blogging about them.

A while back my hair stylist found a vintage hair-curler from probably the 1920's.  She HAD to have it.

Can you imagine having this contraption attached to your locks??? What if there was a power surge!!!

Also on her wall hung this photo of a hairdresser in that era.

Sorry about the glare of the windows. Loved picking out the items in the picture-telephone-hat on hat rack, I can't tell what she's using in her hair.

Thought you might get a kick out this bygone method.

  4. Ann, just me again. Trust me those vintage cars were not on Hwy.70. I am not sure where we were as Suzanne was doing the driving. Some little off road.

  7. The vintage hair curler reminds me of a milking machine. I seem to remember seeing it used on an episode of "The Waltons" - but that was a long time ago (the '70s). Thanks for making me happy with my 'wash and go' hair.
