Nature and October

NATURE AND OCTOBER

AND

This week I am posting letters N and O.  My very favorite month of the year is October.  Nature is ablaze with all the gorgeous colors of this season.

Driving through my neighborhood this last week I took a few shots from my car.

This beautiful tree grows in a park near our home.

The mums have been so vibrant here too, these are next to my front steps to cheer me each time I enter.

And one of my favorite colors is ORANGE.

OCTOBER  always conjures up memories of goblins, pumpkins, bobbing for apples, Halloween parties, trick-or-treating, warm glazed donuts and apple cider.

Another reason to love OCTOBER, is visiting an OKTOBERFEST celebration or shopping at fall craft festivals. I had a booth in a fair last Saturday.  You can tell how much I love the color ORANGE by all the pumpkins and fall foliage on my wreaths.

Hoping you are enjoying autumn and the beautiful colors or if you happen to live in the Southern Hemisphere I hope you enjoy my October photos.

  10. We are like-minded this week! :-) And I, too, adore October - the incredible colors of foliage, sunrises and sunsets, and Fall decorations; the invigorating weather that ranges from cozy rain and fog to crisp sunshine; the harvest of wonderful root veggies, grapes and apples; the deeply moving grace and beauty of Canada geese flying south in their incredible V formations; and Halloween - my favorite holiday! :-)

I love your photos, especially that gorgeous tree in the park and your beautiful mums! It's been a great year for mums here, too, and I've really become a fan.

  15. Hi Ann! Thanks for visiting me over at The Writers Reverie! Love your "tin and sparkle" here - Oz has always had a special place in my heart. However, I must say that your Kansas is a bit more colorful this time of year than Dorothy's was back at MGM in 1939! Lovely photos and a fun ABC post game!
    Joy!

  18. Ann you would make the perfect Bronco fan! You could wear orange all season long! But I know you probably trade orange for red with your Chiefs!
Love those beautiful mums! That tree reminds me of the poem "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer! Sigh!
    Blessings, Anne
