ABC WEDNESDAY - Letter Y
For letter "Y", I really wanted to do something patriotic and I thought of this great movie from 1942.
"Yankee Doodle Dandee" and "You're a Grand Old Flag = BOTH Y WORDS.
From Wickepedia:
Yankee Doodle Dandy is a 1942 American biographical musical film about George M. Cohan, known as "The Man Who Owns Broadway".[1] It stars James Cagney, Joan Leslie, Walter Huston, and Richard Whorf, and features Irene Manning, George Tobias, Rosemary DeCamp and Jeanne Cagney.
The original movie poster:
Here's hoping you a wonderful Independence Day.

Love your patriotic post! Happy 4th!...Christine
ReplyDeleteI always associated Cagney with gangster films, they were such all rounders in those days.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices for the 4th of July.

It's been so quiet round here I almost forgot it was the 4th. Both sons are away, so I spent the day drawing and Moth pottered in the garden. It really was a nice Fourth - quite different from most people's I expect. We enjoyed the Concert at the Capitol. That was great!
ReplyDeleteThis was a very cool post! :)
