Pink Saturday - Starter for Peonies

I have a wonderful neighbor and her name is Melva.  She has a peony bush in bloom and today she gave me a start of her white and PINK peonies.  I will plant the starters tomorrow.  I cut a pink and white flower to add the frangrance to my house.

Theres two or three buds too.

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful Saturday.

  6. I love this post and I love peonies Ann. I have three bushes. The previous owners had them in the woods and they weren't doing too well, so I moved them out to get more sunshine. Right now they have about 50 buds in them about ready to burst into bloom. Yay! I just brought out my fake peonies for the foyer table. They were expensive but they are so real and life like and just gorgeous. I keep them out until Fall. Tell us more about your peony slips. How does one start them? I would love to know. HPS

  7. I have always admired peonies. How fortunate for you to be surrounded with such beauty. I must research the peony and see if it grows here.

  10. We have two peony bushes at our home in Wisconsin; I've never tried to divide them! And don't you just LOVE the way they smell? It doesn't take many to make a room smell so sweet! Hopefully, ours will wait for us to get there in a few weeks before they start blooming!
