ABC Wednesday - Letter O

My word today for ABC Wednesday is ORNATE.

Aren't these beautiful examples of ORNATE lettering.  How often do we see this in use today.  Maybe on an elegant wedding invitation.

My husband and I are both members of our local Woodworking Guild, this is an example of ORNATE Intarsia created by David Roth from our guild.  He uses lots of differnt colors of wood to achieve this fabulous results.



His inspiration was this drawing by Leonardo da Vinci.

    Just the head-dress!!! Who would have thought of it, and who would ever have guessed what it WAS?

    Simply lovely. And you're wood-workers! My daddy was a skilled carpenter/builder/carver and the scent of sawdust is one of the best there is.

    That is way too awesome! I love it! You husband is such a wonderful artist, and getting his inspiration from such a great human being! Yes, the ornate letters are very lovely. I love seeing them in old book plates, Mostly bibles. Thanks for sharing!
