I would like to start with a few of my favorite pieces of pottery. The first is a pitcher that my mother in law gave me several years ago. This was given to her around 1960. She used to take care of some elderly neighbors and they really wanted to give her something for her kindness. They gave this beautiful water pitcher.
Lastly this past weekend I went on a one-day trip to Wichita, Ks. We visited the Wichita Art Museum and this piece of art was in the main lobby. It is called Confetti Chandellier. It is hand blown glass and steel art by Dale Chiluly. It is 12' 1" x 7' 11". The different colors are striking. The blue stands out beautifully.

I really like your vase and pitcher.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the photo of you on the little horse on the sidebar. I can remember back when a man would bring his horse around the neighborhood, knocking on doors to see if you wanted your child's picture made. I may have mentioned this to you before..(I'm olden and ...forgetful)I have a photo of myself on one...gotta find it if I can.

ReplyDeleteAnn,
ReplyDeleteThe pitcher and bowl are so cute! You mentioned that you use the bowl everyday and I am thinking that maybe it might be worth a bit of money. Did you ever check into it? I have a green one in my Kitchen and the same one sold on Ebay for $250.00! The sculpture is really pretty and different but I do like it.
