Vintage Thingie Thursday - Hand painted polish ornaments

http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/

Suzanne is our hostess for this fun party---just getting around to posting after Christmas.

I visited my favorite vintage store and all of the Christmas was 90% off!!!!! I purchased these hand painted vintage ornaments from Poland.  They have the oringinal hangers too.  They are so beautiful.

They have the most beautiful flocking and gorgeous brush stokes of paint.

The tops of the metal hanger say "made in Poland". I'd really like to find out more about them--there is no maker of any kind.

Thinking of taking down the Christmas on the 1st---I really don't want to see all the glitter be packed away.

Hope everyone enjoys their New Years Eve celebrations.

Take Care

The great nephews LOVED their Toy Story 3 Sheets.

It's pink sparklie day----go visit Beverly for the dreamiest posts.

I love cardboard houses all decorated for Christmas.  I purchased a few and made a few in the last year.
My pink house I made this year. Notice the pink wallpaper in the living room. Setting near is one of my small trees decked in hot pink garland.

This house I purchased at 80% off last year after Christmas..My pink vintage tree sets nearby.

Hope you have a safe-fun-shopping weekend if your not done shopping.

Happy Pink Saturday.

Quick Stocking Stuffer - Cute Headbands

I whipped up a few these the other day for my granddaughters to wear to school, parties, church this season.
I used red and white felt I had on hand and buttons from my button collection.
I bought these little red headhands at the Dollar Store.  Olivia wore hers to school today.

Cut out 4 petal flowers from felt--either straight scissors or pinking sheers.  Stagger the layers and sew a button in the center.  Crimp the top one to make it look for layered.  I hot glued the flower to the headband.

A quick stuffer for about $1.00.

I've had so much fun decorating my sunroom this Christmas, last year it wasn't complete.

First of all I collect vintage bird cages, my standing one is white so I decorated with with a wintery white sceen.  Little lambs standing in snow with white trees and silver stars above their little heads.

My fiber optic Santa sitting among red sparked cones and white lights.

This green and white picture made by my sis Lori years ago.

One of my favorite ceramic snowmen hearlding in the season.
Hope you have a wonder Wednesday----decorating those beautiful Christmas rooms!!!

Blue Monday - December birthdays

http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/

We have a couple of December birthdays, Dec 12 and 15. We had a combo party last night with all the Christmas celebrations--it's hard to get one day set aside.

My nephew and granddaughter enjoyed gifts, dinner and cake with VIGOR!!

Mommy and Daddy bought her the new bike.  We are going to need a lot of snow melting though before she can take it out.
Spending the day mailing packages, wrapping and just enjoying the day.

Spiritual Sundays - Nativity

Today I'm linking with http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/
I wanted to share one of my most treasured Christmas displays.  We purchased this Navitity from Sams Club about 20 years ago and I love to pick a new spot for it each year.

THE FIRST NOEL

The First Noel the Angel did say

Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as the lay,

In field where they lay keeping their sheep

On a cold winter's night was so deep

Noel, noel, noel, noel
Born is the KING OF ISRAEL

May He who was born on that first Christmas bless your holidays with happiness.

Pink Saturday - Christmas Card

http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog

I guess I've always loved the color PINK but never really realized it before.  When looking through my Christmas Memory Book I found a card we sent out in 1968.  A beautiful angel dressed in pink!!

I'm partial to angels and have a Hallmark Angel Collection, "Mary's Angels" going on it's 23rd year.

Have a PINKY ANGELIC day.

Oh I have to add my favorite Christmas Movie---PRANCER

The small town, the elementary school Christmas Program, the precious little girl who held Christmas in her hear all year long.  It just touches me each time I watch it.

My sister Lori does not have a blog but LOVES to be included, here is her entry---

GOING TO GRANDMA'S

Notice all the little touches, packages in the front seat, dice hanging from the front window, wreath on the front, the darling suitcase she made from cardboard and the overload flag on the back of the truck.
SO CUTE

Now what I put together:

FROSTY'S TREE FARM

My truck has lights along the cab which light up, trees wrapped in the back ready for sale.  One of our elves is driving the truck.  A couple of snowmen on the truck, one on the hood and one on top of the truck. Snow has definately been there and we are ready to sell trees!

Let us know which one you like the best, no contest this time just LOTS OF FUN.

There's lots of time left before Christmas, if you have a truck------come along and join us!!!
