Family Friday

Family Friday is the time to share our wonderful family history and current family fun. Let's all join Lori @ THE PETERSON FAMILY for todays posts.

Last year my daughter, granddaughters and  I visited a traveling exibition of THE WIZARD OF OZ  here in town.

Since were all Kansas girls, we just loved it.

We had a wonderful time traveling down the "yellow brick road".  Afterwards we took in dinner at Fritz's Resturant which has a train deliver your food which runs at the top of the booths.  So cute!!

Hope you all enjoyed our trip....Have a wonderful weekend.

Vintage Thingie Thursday

Suzanne is our hostess for Vintage Thingie Thursday @http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/
Hop on over and see all the "thingies" today.

Today I'm sharing two diaries that were from my childhood.  I was around 10 and 11 when I had these.

I guess I've always liked to write about my interests----even as a little girl.  My granddaughters like me to read from my diary to them.  Sophie said the other day "Nana, you really had a good life". How sweet.

Here's hoping everyone is having a wonderful day.

Outdoor Wednesday

Today is Outdoor Wednesday and I'm joing Susan at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/
for some outdoor fun.

I'm blogging a little late today, but better late than never.

This spring I have lots of strawberry plants and they have plenty of flowers.  I wonder if Mr. Tin Man is looking for for the birds!!!!! I certainly hope so.  (think he needs a little oil for all the rust from the winter?)

Hope you have all had a wonderful Wednesday.  I've been finishing up some things for my Mothers Day Bottle Swap and errands.

Garden accents for Blue Monday

It's time for Blue Monday so Sally @http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ has lots for us to see.

My garden accents are making their way to the garden from the garden shed so here's my blue one's for today.
A new wreath for my front door.
My little garden lassie with her net for catching butterflies.
Since we have a plain chain-link fence I wanted something a little prettier.  I purchased an iron piece and we attached it to the gate, added a few pieces and it makes the entrance to the side yard a little more interesting.

A little blue pot hangs from a garden rod in one of the back yard gardens.

Couldn't resist this one since hubby had on a blue shirt, our family met last night to grill and I caught a picture of our newest member, Madison Grace who is a great-niece.  I caught a little smile too.

Hope you all have a wonderful new week.

Wedding Shower

Yesterday my sister Lori and I gave a Wedding Shower for a friend our ours.   Natalie's wedding is in May. Thought I'd share a few pics.

She's having purple hydrangea's in her wedding.
We served all her favorites, quiche, chocolate covered strawberries, fruit with dip, cheese and crackers and chocolate chip cookies.  It was a nice and lovely shower. We had 20 guests---she's a lovely girl.

Happy Day

Flowers for Pink Saturday

Miss  Beverly is our gracious host for this fabulous party each Saturday.  http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ is the place to be.

Today I'm sharing flowers from my yard, one from last summer and a few pictures I took today.

I love wave petunias, the grow so well for me.  Here's my wheelbarrow from last summer.

I also have these little pinks that surround this little garden.  In a few weeks it will be full.

My Columbine is starting to bloom too.

My ornamental chives have little pink buds everywhere. Love the way this gazing ball takes on several shades of pink and red.

I try to check out as many Pink Saturday Posts as I can and I really enjoyed visiting Lynn @http://happierthanapiginmud.blogspot.com/.  Go check out her blog.

As our hostess Beverly says "GET PINKED".

Vintage Thingie Thursday

Suzanne is waiting for all of the vintage to be posted today.  Join me at @http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/ for VINTAGE THINGIE THURSDAY.

A number of years ago I spotted these two glass items.  There are no markings but I think they are  from the Depression Glass era.

An adorable ice bucket with a silver handle.  I've used this several times for small parties.

This little dish matches.  Not really sure what it was intended, but I use it to serve butter.

Sifting gears now, this hanger is in my extra bedroom that my granddaughters use.

The little pair of shoes belonged to my grandmother Jewell from abt. 1905.

I bought this sweet little dress at an antique store.

This little bonnet is a really soft pink and so delicate, I love it, I also purchased this at a sale.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful Thursday.

Keep finding all of those wonderful vintage thingies........Ann
